Image Gallery

The KPS image gallery constantly changes. Each month the Monthly Image Assement merit winners are put on display, (at least the ones we manage to get images of), replacing the previous month's winners. Sometimes a copy of an image is not available (this applies mainly to prints), and it is unfortunate but these miss out. Annual event images (Triptych and B&W), stay put until the load from the next competition arrives the following year.

The final event of 2011 was our Image of the Year presentation.

This year, one of the Victorian Camera Club movements' hardest working and most popular of judges, Adrian Smith, assessed our typical mass of well over 100 of the year's merit winners to come up with a Final Four. At the presentation event, after displaying and commenting on a small favoured selection from the huge pile of eligible images, Adrian presented certificates to the four category winners in Novice Print, Novice EDI, Open Print and Open EDI. He also joined in the fun (see gallery).

This year, for the first time, we asked a member (Ron Cork) to photograph the people receiving their awards and some of the 'after party' fun. Yes I know it sounds pretty strange that a photography club doesn't shoot its own events, it seems in the past we have been 'focused' eleswhere.

The resulting images from this year's event are presented in the Image Gallery in two forms, the usual static panel-and-plate, click-to-advance show plus, as a trial of practicality, a Flash slide show, which can be run as a slide show or you can manually move forward and backward through the images using the arrows.
