SyllabusThis link will open our syllabus. You will see that our year is filled with meetings, seminars, practical workshops, outings to interesting, photogenic and sometimes challenging locations, monthly image competitions and participation in a few interclub competition. What may not be shown in our syllabus are the various exhibitions and conferences we either arrange, are involved in directly or are invited to attend as a group. Seminars & Lectures Certain members of KPS are available on request to to deliver seminars, workshops and short talks on such topics as digital photography, how to use a camera, how to take good pictures, printing your pictures at home or at a minilab, how to get consistantly good pictures, wedding photography, portrait photography, landscape photography, making AV's (audio visual's - slide shows with sound), use of the latest (and usually inexpensive) tools, or other photography related topics. If your organisation would like a KPS person to present a talk to your gathering, whether it be a club, senior citizens group, library, or simply a collection of interested people brought together for such a talk, call the president as listed on the Contacts page. Exhibitions KPS members exhibit their works at various art exhibition centres, libraries and art festivals in local regions throughout the year. Many of the images, in both prints and digital file format, are available for sale. Contact the president for more details. Judging Many KPS members are qualified to judge the work of others and are often called upon by clubs, schools and other organisations to judge photographic works at club, national and international salon levels. If your organisation is running a photo competition and would like to use the services of a qualfied photographic image judge, contact the President for help and information.
